Head-on Collision Involving Teen Driver

On Saturday evening, a head-on collision sent four people to the hospital in San Diego. According to ABC Channel 10 News, the incident happened at around 7:45 p.m. on Pomerado Road, near Scripps Ranch Boulevard. Apparently, a 16-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle after taking a curve too fast. He swerved into oncoming traffic and struck another vehicle head on.

The teen driver and his two passengers were injured in the crash. At least one of the passengers was another teenager. A 15-year-old girl had her teeth knocked out. The driver in the other car suffered from a fractured hip and other serious injuries. Although 16-year-old drivers aren’t allowed to transport passengers, there’s no word on whether or not the young driver was cited.
