On Monday night, a 17-year-old Granite Hills High School student was killed in a crash in Alpine. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened just before 8:30 p.m. on South Grade Road. Very few details have been released about this crash, but we do know that the vehicle, a Jeep Wrangler, drifted right and was then overcorrected, causing it to drive into the path of oncoming traffic.

A 17-year-old passenger in the Jeep, William Burton, was ejected during the wreck. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the wreck. The 18-year-old driver and another teen passenger were transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries. Two people in the other vehicle were also injured in the crash. The team at Harris Personal Injury Lawyers, Inc. sends their deepest condolences to Burton’s family members and friends.
