Highway 101 Injury Crash in Santa Barbara

On Saturday, a single-vehicle crash sent two people to the hospital in Santa Barbara. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the incident happened at about 9:30 a.m. at the Northbound Carrillo Street exit off of Highway 101. For currently unknown reasons, the SUV left the roadway, crashed through some trees and struck a sound wall.

First responders were swiftly on the scene, and they had to spend a long time extricating the victims. Additionally, there were two dogs in the automobile at the time of the crash, and one of them did not survive. The other dog was taken to a local vet hospital. Both victims were taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, but there’s no word on their conditions or the extent of their injuries.
