Hit and Run 7-Eleven Crash

On Monday night, a hit-and-run driver slammed into a 7-Eleven store in downtown San Diego. According to NBC News Channel Seven, the incident happened at the 7-Eleven on Market Street and Park Boulevard in the East Village, at about 11:30 p.m. The driver then backed up and sped off down Market Street.

After the driver plowed through the front of the convenience store, two people were trapped inside. The impact of the crash ripped the frame and the doors out of the ground. There was debris and glass everywhere, and it took crews about a half hour to clear a safe path for the people who were trapped inside. At this time, the hit-and-run driver has not been apprehended. Law enforcement authorities are likely still on the lookout for that driver.
