Earlier this week, a cyclist was injured in a hit-and-run crash in Ocean Beach. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened on Monday at about 4:00 p.m. Very few details about this collision have been released, but the cyclist woke up in the hospital about a day after the incident. Initial reports indicate that he was ejected from his bicycle. He sustained multiple injuries including six broken ribs, a fractured collarbone and a punctured lung.

Not only did the driver involved hit the cyclist and run, the cyclist’s wallet and phone were also missing from the scene. At this time, there has been no word on whether or not the driver involved has been located or if there are any leads in the case. This incident is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
