On January 2, a teenage boy was struck by a hit-and-run driver while he was riding his bike in Oakland. Per CBS San Francisco News, Police arrested 36-year-old Leah Conner yesterday morning for hitting Carlos Prieto. Authorities have confirmed that Conner hit Prieto and his body rolled onto the hood of the car and fell to the pavement. Conner’s vehicle dragged his body underneath the car for four blocks before stopping. Video evidence showed Conner and a male passenger getting out of the car to look at Prieto’s body, and get back into their car and continued driving. Prieto is currently in the hospital in critical condition. Among serious internal injuries, Prieto has 30 broken bones and needs skin grafts for his extensive road rash burns.

The team at Harris Personal Injury Lawyers has Carlos Prieto in our prayers in hopes of a full recovery.
