Hit-and-Run Driver Strikes Taxi Cab in San Diego

Earlier this week, there was a late night hit-and-run collision involving a Pontiac Grand Am and a taxi cab. The crash happened around midnight on the 5800 block of El Cajon Boulevard. According to ABC Channel 10 News, there was nobody in the cab at the time of the collision. An eye witness said that the driver of a Pontiac Grand Am fled the scene on foot after hitting the cab.

The taxi cab was pushed about 20 feet forward and sustained a considerable amount of damage. The Pontiac struck the cab so hard that one of its wheels came off. Officers with the San Diego Police Department were swiftly on the scene. They searched the area but couldn’t find the driver of the Grand Am. This crash is likely still under investigation.
