Infant Injured in Multi-Car Crash

An early-morning crash on Interstate 5 had traffic backed up for miles on Tuesday, October 8th. As many as four cars were involved in this crash on Northbound I-5 near 28th Street. ABC Channel 10 News reports that an infant was among those injured in this multi-car crash. The wreck was reported shortly before 6:00 a.m. At least two lanes were blocked, as emergency personnel and law enforcement officers responded to the scene.

The California Highway Patrol reports that there was at least one other wreck in the area. Although the roadways were cleared by 7:00 a.m., there was plenty of backed-up traffic coming from the South Bay area. Few details have been released about the cause of this crash or how many people were injured. Additionally, there has been no word on the condition of the infant or the extent of his or her injuries.
