The mayor of Inglewood crashed into a vehicle and a police officer in Los Angeles on Tuesday afternoon. Mayor James Butts was turning left into the University of Southern California when he clipped an on-coming silver sedan and the impact send his car spiraling into a parked motorcyclist, per video footage posted by ABC News. The motorcycle officer, name unannounced, is a police officer in the Los Angeles Police Department. The officer sustained major injuries from the accident but is expected to be okay. The sedan was confirmed to have the right of way, according to witnesses. Mayor Butts stayed at the scene and cooperated with fellow officers.
