Injury Crash Involving Semi Truck

On Tuesday morning, two people were injured in a crash involving a semi truck in Mira Mesa. According to ABC News Channel 10, the incident happened at about 5:30 a.m. on Interstate 805, near Sorrento Valley Boulevard. For currently unknown reasons, a northbound Acura Integra slammed into the back of an 18-wheeler that was hauling cars. The big rig driver didn’t even feel the collision and continued driving.

The Acura ended up on an embankment beside the interstate. First responders had to extricate the driver and the passenger of the Acura with the Jaws of Life. They were both transported to the hospital for treatment. At this time, we don’t know their current conditions or the extent of injuries involved.
