Injury Motorcycle Crash Near Santa Barbara

On Saturday afternoon, two people were injured in a motorcycle crash near Santa Barbara. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the incident happened at about 2:45 p.m., on Old San Marcos Road, about a quarter-mile from Highway 154. Apparently, a motorcyclist and his passenger were heading down the roadway, when they inexplicably sideswiped a sedan.

First responders were swiftly on the scene, where the person driving the motorcycle suffered from what appeared to be a broken ankle. He was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment of injuries. His passenger also sustained minor injuries in the wreck but declined medical attention. This crash is likely still under investigation with law enforcement authorities.
