Jackknifed Semi Truck Causes I-5 Closure

A semi truck jackknifed on I-5 on Friday afternoon. At least two lanes of northbound Interstate 5 had to be closed. The incident happened just north of State Route 78.

The big rig jackknifed before 1:00 p.m. ABC Channel 10 News reports that the number five and six lanes had to be close. Officers with California Highway Patrol were swiftly on the scene, and the area was cleared before 2:00 p.m. Although no immediate reports of injuries were made, there’s no word on whether or not any other vehicles were damaged or involved in this incident. No information has been released on what caused the big rig to jackknife on the busy interstate.
