Lanes Clear, I-880 Reopens after Vehicle Fire in Oakland
An accident between two vehicles on the I-880 in Oakland, California sparked a fire in one of the cars and held traffic at a standstill.
CHP and local fire departments responded to the scene. Lanes of the I-880 were blocked for over an hour, reports say. The traffic made it difficult for larger fire engines to travel to the scene. Videos on Twitter depict the scene.
Significant delays were caused by the accident but all lanes are clear and open to drivers now.
