LAPD Motorcycle Officer Injured in 210 Freeway Crash

On Wednesday, a LAPD motorcycle officer was seriously injured in a crash on the 210 Freeway in Glendora. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the wreck happened on the westbound side of the freeway, near Grand Avenue, early Wednesday morning. Apparently, the officer was riding to work when there was contact between the right side of his motorcycle and the left rear of a Ford F-250 work truck.

The impact of the collision caused the motorcycle to travel into the path of a large pickup truck. The motorcycle officer had to be rushed to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center for treatment of major injuries. A portion of the roadway had to be closed as crews and investigators worked the scene. There has been no word on the motorcycle officer’s current condition, and this wreck is likely still under investigation.
