A large pothole caused serious traffic yesterday in Livermore on the Interstate 580. The pothole was located on Westbound I-580 at Greenville Road off ramp near the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory. Apparently, the repair cement Caltrans truck was stuck in the traffic and prolonged the repair. The California Highway Patrol told NBC Bay Area News, “The pothole damaged more than a dozen cars that were stuck on the shoulder with flat tires and other problems. At least six cars had to be towed away.” Thankfully, no one was injured and accidents were avoided. It is crucial in wet weather to drive safely, and pay extra attention to the roads.
