After graduating from Brigham Young University summa cum laude with a 3.99 GPA, Daniel spent a year living and working in China before attending law school at UC Davis, where he excelled in Pre-Trial Skills, Moot Court, and Trial Practice classes.
In law school, Daniel was a Criminal Law Teaching Assistant for two years and spent his third year as a court-certified Legal Intern at the Sacramento County Public Defender’s Office where he represented clients in court daily. In addition to founding the King Hall Climb, Ski & Snowboard Club Daniel completed a two-year side project for the former Dean of the law school where he researched and rewrote a Third Edition of the required textbook used by all incoming first-year law students.
After law school, Daniel worked remotely for several months as a post-graduate Research Assistant for UC Davis School of Law while traveling across India by motorcycle. Prior to working at HPI Daniel spent two years at Axiom Global Solutions in their Chicago and San Francisco offices where he worked with Fortune 100 pharmaceutical and healthcare companies as a Data Privacy Specialist and Commercial Contracts Negotiator. Daniel is admitted to practice in the United States Federal Court, Northern District.
Outside of work Daniel is a passionate rock climber and has traveled and climbed around the world. During law school he made numerous ascents of some of the biggest walls in Yosemite including a 1-day ascent of Half Dome and a winter ascent of El Capitan. These days he is a father and enjoys spending relaxing time with his wife and 1-yr. old son, Ryan.
