A teenager, two children, and two dogs were killed in a head-on accident in Lemon Grove. This tragic accident occurred around 4 p.m. at the Lemon Grove Avenue and Massachusetts Avenue intersection. Ten News confirmed, “A black 2006 Acura sedan carrying five people and four dogs had turned left from northbound Lemon Grove Ave. to westbound Massachusetts Ave., leading to a head-on collision with a silver 2003 Dodge Durango SUV that was traveling southbound on Lemon Grove. Ave.”

The 18-year-old woman and twelve-year-old boy inside of the Acura were found dead at the scene of the accident. The two dogs were killed by the impact of the crash as well. The two young children, ages 4 and 7, were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Unfortunately, the 7-year-old died at the hospital. The medical examiner has yet to release information or identities of the others involved. The lanes were closed for some time, as authorities are determining which driver was at fault in the accident. However, officials confirmed, one of the drivers ran the red light, however, they are unsure which driver did.
