Lompoc Duplex Fire Displaces Eight People

A fire in a Lompoc duplex displaced eight people on Tuesday. The fire started in a duplex in the 800 block of East Airport Avenue. Officials report that the fire began at around 1:40 p.m. This duplex fire was caught before the entire structure went up in flames.

There is no word on whether or not any of the occupants were burned or injured, but one firefighter was listed as having suffered from minor burns. The cause of this residential fire is still under investigation. KSBY News reports that firefighters were able to contain the flames to one unit. Additionally, the Red Cross was called in to assist the displaced occupants.
