Two people were confirmed dead and five others were confirmed injured in a terrible car accident on Memorial Day. The fatal accident occurred at the Park Street and Lincoln Avenue intersection in Alameda. According to the East Bay Times, excessive speed may have contributed to the crash. The two people who died were riding in a truck and crashed and others in the truck were injured. The truck collided with a minivan, and the minivan occupant was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
