Over the weekend, a man died after being involved in a scooter crash on the Mission Beach Boardwalk. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened on Sunday afternoon on the 3300 block of Ocean Front Walk. Very few details about the incident have been released, but we do know that the 48-year-old man was riding adjacent to another rider when they collided. Both riders lost control of their scooters.

They were both ejected from the scooters. The 48-year-old man was taken to the hospital with chest pains and subsequently died. The other rider suffered from injuries. At this time, DUI is not suspected as a factor. This incident is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
