Mayoral Candidate Hits Cyclist in Ocean Beach

Earlier this week, seven-time San Diego mayoral candidate Loch David Crane was riding his homemade three-wheeled motorcycle when he struck a cyclist in Ocean Beach. According to NBC San Diego News Channel Seven, the incident happened on Sunset Cliff’s Boulevard. Crane’s tri-bike, which has a stainless steel Starship Enterprise replica mounted on the front, sent the cyclist about eight feet in the air.

The cyclist was transported to the hospital for treatment. Thankfully, his injuries were not considered life threatening. Crane and his “Star Trike” came out of the incident unscathed. A portion of the roadway was closed for nearly an hour as law enforcement officials investigated the scene.
