On Tuesday in Tultepec, Mexico, a firework explosion occurred in a local market killing more than twenty people and injuring more than fifty people. The death toll will continue to rise as emergency crews continue to get through the rubble. CNN stated forensic teams are combing through the charred rubble of this market north of Mexico City, searching for victims’ remains.

This pyrotechnic market is a very popular firework market that is highly populated during the holiday season. This San Pablito firework market is known at the country’s ‘Firework Capital’. In 2005, there was a similar explosion which occurred and injured many people as well.
