Over the weekend a motocross dirt bike hit a spectator at an off-road racing facility in Lakeside. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened at the Barona Oaks MX facility. Barona Oaks MX is an 80-acre facility where people can bring and ride their own ATVs and dirt bikes. Very few details about this incident have been released, but we do know that the rider reportedly lost control of his dirt bike during a training run and hit a bystander.

Initial reports indicate that the dirt bike rider had to be airlifted from the scene, and the injured spectator was transported to the hospital via ambulance. No information has been released on either person’s current condition or on the full extent of injuries involved. This incident may still be under investigation.
