Motorcycle Accident in Vista

VISTA, Calif – A collision occurred around 5:45 p.m. on Monday as a Ford Thunderbird pulled out of a gas station parking lot onto the 1500 block of South Melrose Drive, according to San Diego County sheriff’s Deputy Frank Stalzer Jr.

When pulling out on to South Melrose Drive, the diver of the car failed to yield to the northbound motorcyclist. The motorcyclist crashed into the rear of the Thunderbird and was thrown from his bike.

The 25-year-old motorcyclist was taken by paramedics to Tri-City Medical Center with major injuries. According to the deputy, none of the motorcyclist’s injuries are life-threatening.
