Motorcycle Crash on Highway 101

A crash on Highway 101, near Patterson Avenue in Goleta, sent a motorcyclist to the hospital this week. The wreck happened when a motorcycle rider tried to stop in the face of slowing traffic. He was unable to stop and had to veer to the right. His motorcycle ended up striking the back of another vehicle.

According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the rider was a 38-year-old man on a custom motorcycle. Thankfully, he had a helmet on at the time of the crash, but he was taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment of major injuries. Noozhawk did report that he suffered from a broken leg, but no other information has been released about his condition.
