Motorcyclist Injured Child Riding Scooter in Hit and Run

Over the weekend, a motorcyclist injured a 6-year-old child on a scooter in a hit-and-run crash. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the wreck happened in Sylmar on Sunday evening. The child was on his scooter near the intersection of Cobalt Street and Encinitas Avenue when the motorcycle rider struck him.

The child was with his siblings and father at the time of the crash. Initially, the motorcycle rider stopped, but then took off and fled the scene. Thankfully, the child is recovering from his injuries. Law enforcement officers are still searching for the motorcycle rider. The motorcycle involved is described as a black and white Suzuki, and there’s a $25,000 reward being offered for information that can bring this person to justice.
