On Tuesday morning, there was a multi-car crash on Highway 101 in Santa Barbara. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the multi-vehicle wreck happened in the southbound lanes of the highway, near the Carrillo Street Bridge, in the downtown area at about 7:45 a.m. At least four vehicles were involved in the crash. Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported on the scene, but the wreck caused heavy congestion for morning commuters.
Initially, all southbound lanes had to be blocked as crews and first responders worked the scene. At this time, there has been no word on the cause of the crash, which could still be under investigation with local law enforcement authorities.
