Late Wednesday night, there was a rollover injury crash on Highway 101, just north of Buellton. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the wreck happened in the northbound lanes near Jonata Park Road, sometime after 11:30 p.m. Very little information has been released about this crash, but we do know that the vehicle ended up on its side in the center median of the roadway. At least seven people were injured in this crash, and one of them had to be airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment.
The other six people involved suffered from injuries ranging from minor to moderate. A portion of the roadway was blocked by wreckage when crews and first responders arrived to the scene. At this time, there has been no word on the cause of the crash, which is likely still under investigation with the California Highway Patrol.
