Ocean Beach Scooter Crash  

Over the weekend, a woman was injured in a scooter crash in Ocean Beach. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the wreck happened on Cape May Avenue at about 3:30 a.m. on Sunday. Initial reports indicate that a 27-year-old woman was on a Bird scooter when she hit a crack and lost control of the scooter. She was launched over the handlebars.  

She hit her head on the sidewalk and sustained a skull fracture and brain bleed. First responders rushed to the scene, and she was taken to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries. At this time, there has been no update on her condition, but her injuries were described as life-threatening on the scene. This scooter crash is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement authorities.
