On Sunday, a woman was killed in Oceanside by a hit-and-run driver. The woman’s identity was confirmed Tuesday, Margaret Rose Examus, and she was 63 years old. According to Patch, she was hit by a Honda Civic that was driving at a high rate speed of 80 miles per hour. She was attempting to cross Mission Avenue in an unmarked area near the Interstate 5 onramp at 8 p.m. A motorist who saw the crash followed the suspect’s car as it headed north on Interstate 5 and east on state Route 76, but lost sight of it near Loretta Street. The car was found on Monday, although the driver has yet to be found. The team at Harris Personal Injury Lawyers send our deepest condolences to the friends and family of Margaret.
