Oceanside Restaurant Worker Struck and Killed by Drunk Driver

Late Tuesday night, a suspected drunk driver struck and killed an Oceanside pedestrian. According to NBC San Diego News Channel Seven, the driver ran through a red light and struck 65-year-old Oceanside resident Tran Thanhminh. Thanhminh was using the crosswalk with his wife when the incident happened.

Thanhminh and his wife were walking home after closing the Pho Ha Grill and Bar, a local Vietnamese restaurant, when he was struck. The vehicle dragged him about 150 as the driver continued down the roadway. First responders rushed to the scene, but Thanhminh did not survive his injuries.
