An LAPD off-duty officer was killed in a car crash over the holiday weekend in Ventura County. CBS News stated, “the deceased was identified by a watch commander with the department as 30-year-old Heather Monroe.” She was a passenger in a black car and was hit at an intersection by an Uber. One of the cars ran the red light, although, they are unsure which car is at fault. This accident occurred on around 2:10 a.m. at the Sycamore and Cochran Street intersections. There were three other people who were injured in the accident but are expected to be okay.
