Early this morning, one person was killed in a single car crash in Oxnard. The accident occurred on the 1600 block of North Rose Avenue near St. John’s Medical Center. The driver was driving his two-year-old son at the time of the crash, and the son survived. Upon arriving at the scene, the emergency crews confirmed the driver was dead and the two-year-old was immediately taken to the Ventura County Hospital. Police confirmed the driver of the pickup was driving at a high rate of speed southbound on Rose Avenue when he lost control, left the roadway, and crashed into a palm tree in the center divider, KEYT News.
