Pedestrian Fatally Hit in Chula Vista

Over the weekend, a pedestrian was fatally struck in Chula Vista. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the wreck happened on Saturday night on the 600 block of E Street. Initial reports indicate that the pedestrian was struck by a 2014 Toyota Tundra, sometime after 7:00 p.m.

First responders rushed to the scene. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital, but he did not survive his injuries. The driver reportedly remained on the scene to cooperate with law enforcement officials. So far, there’s been no word on the cause of the crash, but alcohol or drugs didn’t appear to be factors on the scene. The cause of this fatal pedestrian crash may still be under investigation with law enforcement.
