Pedestrian Fatally Hit on Highway 101 in San Luis Obispo

A pedestrian was found lying in the fast lane of Highway 101 in San Luis Obispo at Prado Road. CHP responded to the scene and the person was said to have died. Reports came in that the pedestrian had been hit by a passing vehicle and the situation is under investigation. The person laying roadside was found at approximately 6:15 am on Thursday morning.

Following the incident, the northbound onramp at Prado Road was closed and traffic was diverted. Area drivers were alerted for potential delays.
