On Wednesday morning, a pedestrian was struck by an SUV outside of a City Heights 7-Eleven. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened at about 3:30 a.m. on El Cajon Boulevard. Law enforcement officers were reportedly trying to stop a Lexus SUV that was traveling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle made an attempted turn onto Euclid Avenue and jumped a curb. The SUV hit a man that was standing outside of a 7-Eleven convenience store

Two suspects fled away from the vehicle on foot. Police officers were able to detain one of them. The injured pedestrian was rushed to the hospital for treatment of a leg injury. There has been no word on his current condition. The other person is still at large, and the incident is likely still under investigation by law enforcement officials.
