On Wednesday night, a pedestrian was fatally hit by a car in Fresno. The police confirmed the victim was struck by a vehicle near a Blackstone Avenue Motel. The East Bay Times identified the victim, Larry Smith, was killed as he and another man, also from Castro Valley, crossed Blackstone — a busy six-lane thoroughfare in that part of the city — as they returned to their motel from a burger restaurant about 6:45 p.m. The men were not in a crosswalk at the time of the accident. Smith was taken to a local hospital and he was pronounced dead shortly after. The team at Harris Personal Injury Lawyers send our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the pedestrian.
