Pedestrian in Santa Barbara Hit by Car

Early Friday morning, a pedestrian was hit by a car in Santa Barbara. The man was struck while he was walking on West Carrillo Street near Bath Street. The incident occurred around 3:00 a.m. First responders arrived on the scene to find the victim lying in the street. He was swiftly rushed to Cottage Hospital for treatment of a head injury. No information has been released on his current condition or the extent and severity of his injuries.

KEYT News Channel Three did report that the occupants in the automobile were not injured. Law enforcement officials are still trying to figure out the exact location of the collision. There is no word on the cause of the crash. This incident is still under investigation. Investigators are also exploring the possibility of alcohol as a factor in this crash.
