Pedestrian Injured in Clairemont

On Tuesday evening, a pedestrian was struck and injured by a car in the Clairemont area. According to ABC Channel 10 News, the incident happened on the 6300 block of Balboa Avenue, sometime around 6:30 p.m. First responders from the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department were swiftly on the scene.

Apparently, the victim and a few other people were picking up food from Giovanni’s Restaurant right before the incident. After realizing they left the food on top of the car, they pulled over to get it. A male victim was struck by another vehicle. He was rushed to Sharp Memorial Hospital for treatment of a broken leg and a head injury. At this time, there’s no word on his current condition.
