Pedestrian Injured in Downtown Santa Barbara

Over the weekend, a pedestrian was struck and injured by a vehicle in downtown Santa Barbara. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the incident happened at the intersection of Carrillo and Castillo Streets at about 9:00 a.m. on Saturday morning. Very few details about this pedestrian crash have been released, but we do know that the pedestrian was in the crosswalk at the time of the collision.

First responders rushed to the scene, where the injured pedestrian was evaluated. She had to be transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment of injuries. At this time, there has been no word on her current condition, but her injuries were described as moderate on the scene. No information has been released on whether or not the driver involved is facing any citations, and this crash is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
