Pedestrian Injured in El Cajon Crash

Over the weekend, a pedestrian was seriously injured in an El Cajon crash. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the wreck happened on Saturday evening on the 400 block of Jamacha Road. The pedestrian, a 49-year-old man, was reportedly crossing the road when he was hit by a Toyota pickup truck.

When first responders arrived on the scene, they found the pedestrian severely injured and unconscious but breathing. He was rushed to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. The driver of the truck did remain on the scene to cooperate with authorities. A portion of the roadway had to be closed as crews and first responders worked the scene. At this time, there has been no information on the current condition of the pedestrian, and this wreck may still be under investigation.
