On September 13, a pedestrian was struck and injured by a passing car on an Escondido road. According to NBC San Diego News Channel Seven, the incident happened on East Valley Parkway and Quarry Glen. The pedestrian was reportedly clipped by the motor vehicle. That person was transported to an area hospital for treatment of injuries, but there has been no word on the extent of injuries or current condition.
The impact of the wreck caused the automobile’s windshield to shatter, and a shoe, clothing and a backpack were left on the scene. The driver did remain on the scene to cooperate with authorities. There has been no word on whether or not that person has since been cited. Initial reports indicate that alcohol didn’t appear to be a factor in this case. The wreck is likely still under investigation with authorities.
