Pedestrian Injured in Solvang
On Thursday morning, a woman was struck by an SUV in Solvang. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the incident happened at the intersection of Highway 246 and Alamo Pintado, sometime around 11:30 a.m. First responders with the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the California Highway Patrol and the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department were swiftly on the scene.
The pedestrian, a 62-year-old woman, was airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment of major injuries. Very few details have been released about the crash, which is likely still under investigation with authorities. There is no word on the pedestrian’s current condition or the extent of her injuries.
