Pedestrian Killed in Escondido Crash

Early Saturday morning, a pedestrian was struck and killed in Escondido. According to NBC San Diego News Channel Seven, the incident happened just before 5:00 a.m. on the 2300 block of East Valley Parkway. The victim, 59-year-old Richard Allen Hensley, was found unresponsive in the roadway. He was apparently hit by some type of truck.

Sadly, he died as a result of his injuries over the weekend. Law enforcement officials are still investigating the crash, but there’s no word on whether or not they have a suspect or a particular make and model of truck they’re looking for. Anybody with information is being asked to come forward.
