Pedestrian Killed in Long Beach Street Racing Crash

Earlier this week, a pedestrian was killed in a suspected street racing crash. According to the Press Telegram, the woman was killed while crossing the road at the intersection of Santa Fe Avenue and Hill Street on Monday evening. Very few details about this incident have been released, but we do know that there was a collision between a Lexus sedan and a black Nissan 350Z. The crash, which was an apparent result of street racing, also hit a minivan before striking the pedestrian.

When first responders arrived, the pedestrian was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the Nissan fled the scene. The drivers of both the minivan and the Lexus were transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries. This street-racing fatal crash is likely still under investigation with law enforcement officials.
