Pedestrian Pinned Under Truck in Vista

On Tuesday, a pedestrian was struck and pinned under a truck by a hit-and-run driver in Vista. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened in the AutoZone parking lot at 950 S. Santa Fe Avenue. Initial reports indicate that the pedestrian was pinned under the truck when first responders arrived on the scene, and the driver involved fled on foot.

The pedestrian was rescued from under the truck, and he had to be airlifted to Palomar Hospital for treatment of injuries. At this time, there has been no word on his current condition or on the full extent of injuries involved. Additionally, at the time of the news report, authorities were still on the search for the hit-and-run driver.
