Last week, a pedestrian was struck and killed by an SUV on State Route 94 in San Diego. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened in the Jamul area at about 3:30 a.m. Very few details have been released about this fatal crash, but initial reports indicate that the pedestrian may have been an occupant in the vehicle prior to getting out of the car and getting hit.

Initial reports indicate that the driver involved did get out of the SUV after the incident. Witnesses on the scene said that person got back into the SUV and drove off. This fatal pedestrian crash is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
