Pedestrians Near Carpinteria High School Injured

Last week, two pedestrians were injured after being hit by a vehicle in front of Carpinteria High School. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the incident happened on Thursday morning at about 7:45 a.m. Very few details about this pedestrian collision have been released, but we do know that a Toyota sedan was involved. Initial reports indicate that the pedestrians were awake and alert when first responders arrived on the scene.

Both injured pedestrians were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries. There has been no word on their current conditions or on the full extent of injuries involved. Thankfully, their injuries were not described as life-threatening on the scene. The driver of the vehicle did remain on the scene to cooperate with authorities, but there has been no word on whether or not that person is facing any type of citation associated with the crash.
