Police Chase and Crash in San Diego

Earlier this week, a police chase ended in a crash in the Mid-City area. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, law enforcement officers attempted to pull over a vehicle near the 100 block of Euclid Avenue prior to the chase. Very few details about this incident have been released, but we do know that the vehicle involved was a Toyota Corolla. Initial reports indicate that the Corolla sped away, and police officers followed behind.

The pursuit went down State Route 94 to northbound Interstate 805. The Corolla reportedly reached speeds of up to 90 miles per hour during the chase. The vehicle then went onto Interstate 15 and exited on University Avenue, where it made a right on 39th Street and hit at least two parked vehicles. The driver and a passenger fled on foot but were apprehended and taken into custody.
