On Friday afternoon, there was a rear-end injury crash in Santa Barbara. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the wreck happened at about 12:15 p.m. at Castillo and Arrellaga Streets. Initial reports indicate that a full-size pickup truck rear-ended a sedan that was stopped at a stop sign. The driver of the pickup truck was rushed to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment of major injuries.

The driver of the sedan was also injured and transported to the hospital for treatment. A portion of the intersection had to be closed as crews, first responders and investigators worked the scene. There has been no word on whether or not any citations or charges have been made. The crash could still be under investigation with local law enforcement authorities.
